Hi there, and welcome to Ideas on Consciousness! Ideas on Consciousness (IoC) is a student organization and DeCal at UC Berkeley. In this monthly newsletter, we will be sharing details about upcoming cafe hours, social events, relevant local news/events, resource recommendations, and more. Innovation Day! Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 21st, 2024.

Dear Innovators, Creators and Visionaries,

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Cal Innovation Day, a vibrant celebration of invention and creativity showcasing the very best of Berkeley. Scheduled for April 21st, this day-long event is designed to be a melting pot of ideas, talents and passions from across our campus, bringing together entrepreneurs, designers, engineers, creatives, alumni, and investors.

Why should you join Cal Innovation Day? (insta: @calinnovationday)

Innovation Day is the place to be if you are looking to share your project or startup, recruit new team members to complement your skill set, forge valuable connections with professionals, and get inspired by insightful panels featuring voices in various fields of innovation and investment. This is also the place for you to connect with fellow creatives in an environment that celebrates your talent and share your project or idea and receive interest, feedback, and the resources to catapult your vision into reality.

What to expect:

• student showcase tables/booths (featuring creatives, startups, designers, engineers) at Upper Sproul, Dwinelle, and Wheeler Plazas. 

• indoor stage: with guest speakers, panels featuring innovation leaders and investors, and student pitches)

• Upper Sproul stage: with student performers and musicians.

• dynamic mentorship and team-finding speed dating 

• student-founded food vendors

Ready to be a part of something big? To showcase you or your club’s work, pitch your startup, perform on Savio Steps, or sell your food at Innovation Day, apply here by 3.24 for the priority deadline and 3.30 for the final deadline (make sure to start early as it does take some time).
